The story of ecotourism in Senegal
Assignment
Lorella Pignet-Fall, sustainability professor in Lyon and founder of the ecotourism and female entrepreneurship centre Gnilman in Senegal, wanted to tell the story of her project through an outside lens, while exploring potential new communication pathways. The work consisted of coaching and storytelling about the project and larger tourism context in Senegal.
Creative process
1. Research: how does the tourism landscape in Senegal look like today? How is sustainable tourism practiced and perceived?
2. Coaching: what is the unique essence behind the project, as an inspiration for its future development?
3. Storytelling: A blend of personal storytelling, description of the touristic context in Senegal and a reflection of the "spirit" of Gnilman.
